I utilize a multi-system holistic approach to address chronic pain in individuals who have not found relief through conventional rehabilitation methods. By expanding the lens through which we view health, we can better understand the intricate interplay between physical, mental, and gastrointestinal factors that may contribute to persistent pain. This comprehensive methodology allows for targeted interventions that can lead to more significant improvements in overall well-being. Through careful assessment and personalized strategies, I aim to help individuals reclaim their quality of life by addressing not just symptoms, but the root causes of their discomfort.

What to Expect:
Sequential Steps of a Freely Moving Training Program
-
During the initial examination, we will prioritize understanding your unique body symptoms and overall health. It is essential to explore the interconnectedness of various bodily systems, particularly how gut health and mental well-being can influence how we hold our physical body. We will begin with a thorough subjective Q&A to gather detailed insights. Following this, a movement evaluation will be conducted, where full body passive range of motion measurements will be taken to establish objective baseline data. This comprehensive approach allows for a tailored assessment and helps in developing an effective plan for your care. We will establish goals and predicted timeline of care. Typically enough time is left for 1-2 movement techniques to be taught to help reduce chief symptom complaint.
-
What will likely set my training style of PRI apart from most others is that my initial focus is on inhibiting overactive muscle chains. This approach aims to decrease sympathetic tone to achieve neutrality and enhance multi-joint range of movement. If a client struggles to achieve or maintain a repositioned state, I will then explore factors such as mental / gut health, poor dental occlusion, and visual dominance / over-reliances. This multi-system holistic perspective aims to address all possible influences on the physical body that can lead to pain and hinder optimal performance. Ultimately, the goal is to increase body awareness by enriching the interoceptive sense of the individual.
** It is recommended two weeks in-between movement based sessions for increased integration of newly learned concepts **
-
Once a repositioned state is achieved and maintained, repatterning can begin. This process involves teaching the body to synchronize and engage entire muscle chains from head to toe. Effective repatterning requires the integration of proprioceptive inputs, which enhances the individual's awareness of their body position in space, and fosters an increased grounding sensation. By focusing on these elements, individuals can develop a more cohesive and responsive movement pattern, ultimately leading to improved coordination and functionality in daily activities.
-
During the final phase, we will focus on restoring full body alternating and reciprocal movement. By this time, you should be returning to your sport or activity of choice with an optimized sense of self. This phase is crucial for enhancing overall coordination and efficiency in movement patterns and quality of physical and mental health.
